Conditions of Entry
General Information:
- Open to all current financial members of TADAS.
- Hanging Art/Sculpture – Maximum of two (2) entries & two (2) small artworks.
- Non-Hanging – no more than four (4) artworks.
- Work must have been created within the past 3 years and not be exhibited more than once in the gallery within the calendar year.
- COPYRIGHT:
- All entries must be the artist’s own work from conception.
- No copied works from other artists or workshops.
- No AI images or copies from AI generated images will be accepted.
- All entries must not be an infringement of international copyright.
Sales:
- All art entries must be for sale.
- Commissions starting from 20% to TADAS will be deducted from the sale price
- Sold items may be replaced with a similar item. A “Replacement” form is to be completed.
Size Limit:
- Maximum size of artworks: 1.2 metres in width, including frame.
- Maximum size of two (2) small artworks: 30cm in width, including frame.
- Maximum size of non-hanging artworks: 42cm (A3).
Hanging Artworks & Sculptures:
- All art entries MUST be clearly labelled on the back of the piece with:
- Artist’s name
- Medium
- Price
- Artworks should be strung with cord or plastic-coated wire. No screw eyes are acceptable. D rings should be attached from stringing. (** See more information in “For the Artist”)
- Framing must be of a professional standard, front and back (**See more information in “For the Artist”)
- Artworks under glass – glass must be clean, inside and out.
- Frames must be undamaged, free from scratches or open corners.
- Canvases –
- Thick edge (25mm or more) canvases only may be hung without a frame.
- Side edges must be painted as part of the artwork.
- Thin edges canvases warp and do not hang well. Therefore, they will only be accepted if framed.
Non-Hanging Artworks:
- All pieces need to be clearly labelled on the back of the piece with:
- Artist’s name
- Medium
- Price
- Unframed artworks must be either encased in cellophane or encased in perspex display tablet.
Insurance:
TADAS exercises all care possible. Insurance is the Artist’s responsibility. TADAS will not be responsible for loss or damage to artworks within the gallery.
