Christine St Flour

curriculum vitae

Born in Sussex, England with an English/Scottish heritage, i grew up in the Western Suburbs, before moving to the Blue Mountains later in life. I have always had an interest in the art world, and working with my hands. I have been a potter, working and teaching in my own home studio, which although rewarding, wasn't great for my health. From there I studied and taught many forms of healing, including Reiki and meditation, which at the time helped me to get back on track with my health and my art.

Over the years I tried out the various media styles, but nothing seemed to feel right until i discovered the beauty of pastels, from that point on I was hooked. From there grew my love of portraiture, be it people or animals. I just love seeing a subject come to life on paper and using the rich colours we see in the beauty of flower studies and nature.

Then I discovered the versatility of using PanPastels which I feel compliments my usual soft pastels and pencils. And with this I felt something shift again within my artworks, it also changed the way I approached my work.

I have created many commissioned works over the years by many including world renowned Indigenous artist Robyn Caughlan. I am very fortunate to have many of my works bought and hanging in private collections throughout the Blue Mountains, NSW and Interstate.

I have exhibited and sold at many local and Sydney Art Exhibitions over the last few years, Camden Art Prize, Art of Sydney Awards, Hawkesbury Art Show, Penrith Art Show throughout the Blue Mountains and now Central Coast.

I am now enjoying living on the Central Coast and discovering the vast art opportunities on offer.

I am once again accepting commissioned artworks. Please feel free to contact me:
